DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Steel Challenge\nDip your toe (and your trigger finger) into the fun and exciting world of practical pistol \nEver get the feeling that’s there’s more to being a gun owner than going to the range and punching holes in a target? \nDo you own a pistol\, but don’t really know how to use it? \nAre you looking for a sport that the whole familiy can enjoy together? \nThen practical shooting is the sport for you!  \nThe easiest way to get into the fun and excitement is to shoot a Steel Challenge match\, which requires no special equipment or gear. Anything from a .22 pistol to a 1911 in .45 ACP to a pistol caliber carbine can be used to shoot Steel Challenge\, and the rules are simple and easy to understand.  This three-hour course will set you up for the success at your first Steel Challenge match and help you become a more confident and competent gun owner. \nTopics Covered:\n\nThe basics of firearms safety\nUnderstanding the rules of Steel Challenge\nWhy shooting a match is a good idea for everyone\nHow to shoot a match\n\nGear Requirements:\n\nA pistol (.22LR or larger caliber) or a pistol caliber carbine (no rifles allowed)\nAt least two magazines for your firearm\n50-100 rounds of ammunition\nA holster\, bag or case for you gun\nEye protection\, ear protection\nWater\, sunscreen\, bug spray\n\nCost will be $60\, and you can sign up at this link.
