DESCRIPTION:Home Defense Carbine\nOnce vilified as an “assault weapon\,” the AR-15 is\, in fact\, a very effective tool for home defense. Light\, easy to handle and with little appreciable recoil\, it can be quickly adapted to fit each user in ways other rifles cannot. \nThis four hour class will cover the application of an AR-15 to the thorny problem of home defense. Students will learn how to optimize their carbines for use inside the home\, how to use a sling\, as well as learn which accessories are “must haves” for a home defense carbine. This class is specifically designed for all the gun owners out there who bought an AR-15 in the past few years for home defense (a good idea) but then don’t know what the next step is. \nIn addition to this\, the class will cover the different types of close-quarters optics and how to keep your rifle in the action. \nThe live-fire portion will cover zeroing your gun\, understanding and overcoming mechanical sight offset and speed and accuracy at common home defense distances. \n\nHistory and operation of the AR-15\nAdvantages and disadvantages of the AR-15 for home defense\nChoosing an optic for your rifle\nOther accessory choices\nSetup and sling use\nStance\, grip and sight alignment\nZeroing your sighting system\nEngaging targets at common self defense distances\nUse of cover\n\nSpread The Word:ShareFacebookEmailTwitter

DESCRIPTION:Self Defense Outside The Home (Pistolcraft 101)\nIf you own a gun\, you are exercising your right to keep arms.\nThis classes teaches you how to bear arms.\nThese days\, personal defense is the #1 reason why people buy guns. A gun and a concealed carry license by themselves\, however\, doesn’t provide you any protection anymore than buying a guitar and some sheet music provides musical talent. This class covers the essentials of using a pistol to defend yourself as you live your everyday life. \nWe keep this three-hour class small (just six students) in order to maximize the 1-1 training opportunities. The instruction is focused on helping you make the transition from being just a gun owner to someone who has the skills and confidence to defend what is most important in your life. \nThis class is designed to show people how to make the transition from just have a piece of paper that says you MAY carry a defensive firearm with you to someone who has the skills and confidence to carry on a regular basis. \nTopics covered will include: \n\nHow to get your gun into the fight as fast as possible\nSafe use of a holster\nThe use of a pistol as a defensive firearm\nMaking the shot on-demand\nAdvanced accuracy techniques\nAt the completion of this course\, each student will understand how to keep their firearm concealed until it is needed.\nThey will also know how to quickly and effiecently deploy it in a safe manner should the need arise.\n\nSpread The Word:ShareFacebookEmailTwitter
