After class\, you’ll receive a drill that you can use to further hone your skills at your next range session.  \nThese classes are designed to maximize your training time and resources and put you on a path to lifetime enjoyment of the shooting sports and safely enjoy the armed lifestyle.  \nThe Cadre Session 4: Time And Timing \n\nPrerequisites: A valid concealed carry license\nGear Needed: See below\nClass Date: Sunday\, January 12th\, 1pm\nLocation: Fellowship Church\, Ave Maria\n\nI’m very happy to be the first trainer in the area to integrate The Complete Combatant‘s innovative Image Based Decisional Drills into a self-defense curriculum. This system is a great way to bring many of the benefits of force-on-force training to my students\, without having to deal with the specialized training gear. If you carry concealed\, or are an average citizen concerned about your safety\, this class will help you “thaw the freeze reflex” and act quickly and correctly in a life or death situation.\nGetting our defensive firearm into play is a timing issue. Time is distance\, and distance more options. The sooner we spot a lethal force problem headed our way\, the sooner we can make a plan to deal with it or avoid it altogether. Knowing what trouble looks like\, though\, can be a problem\, as criminals go to great lengths to confuse their intentions and get close to us.  \nTopics Covered In This Class \n\nSpotting pre-attack indicators\nMicro-ranging and managing unknown contacts\nMaking time and distance work in our favor\n\nThis class is less than three hours long and requires no ammunition or firearms. This is a decision-making class that is ideal for anyone\, not just people who carry a defensive firearm. I am a full-time professional firearms writer for the National Rifle Association\, and I teach firearms training in the Naples area. I am not your typical “fly by night” firearms instructor. After class\, you’ll receive a drill that you can use to further hone your skills at your next range session. \nThese classes are designed to maximize your training time and resources and put you on a path to lifetime enjoyment of the shooting sports and safely enjoy the armed lifestyle. \nThe Cadre Session Three: Speeding Up To Slow Down Encore\n\nPrerequisites: A valid concealed carry license\nGear Needed: See below\nClass Date: Saturday\, January 18th\, 1pm\n\nThis is an encore session to accommodate increased demand.  \nGetting your hits is great. Getting your hits before you get hit\, well\, that’s even greater. The previous session\, Automatic Accuracy\, covered hitting your target. This session covers doing it in a timely manner. From getting your gun into play from concealment to increasing your shot to shot split time to keeping your head in the game in order to minimize mistakes\, this class is all about the efficient application of force. \nTopics Covered In This Class \n\nSpeeding up the draw\nIncreasing followup shot speed\nTask loading and interruptions\n\nThis class is less than three hours long and requires fewer than 100 rounds of ammo. Class size will be topped at just six people to allow plenty of opportunities for 1-1 instruction. \nGear Requirements:  \n\nA pistol (9mm/38 Special or larger caliber)\nA spare magazine\nA cover garment such as light jacket or oversized t-shirt\nA holster suitable for concealed carry. Please do not bring a Blackhawk!
