The Missing Piece

I’ve owned an AR-10 for a few years now. I built one for my “Scout Rifle 2.0” series at Ammoman, but someone, the gun I built just never clicked with me.

It’s not that the pieces weren’t there. The upper and lower are from Aero Precision with a lightweight Faxon barrel and a JP Enterprises BCG. The stock is from Mission First and that’s a Primary Arms LPVO on top. However, things fell apart when I mounted a can on it. The suppressor I used with it was the now-discontinued SIG Sauer SRD762-QD, the Iconel version, not the titanium one. I went with the heavier can because I just couldn’t justify the extra $200 or so at the time for the titanium version. The can works well on my shorty .300 Blackout home defense AR-15, but on the heavier AR-10 with it’s full 16-inch barrel, it really threw off the balance of the gun and made it awkward to carry.

Enter the B&T Vers36Ti suppressor. It’s lightweight (titanium), 3-D printed and multi-caliber. It also works with this rifle like it was made for it. What was once a safe queen is now something I want to take to the range on a regular basis and maybe use it on my next hog hunt.

All it took was swapping out one component.
