The competitions put on by the United States Practical Shooting Association are some of the most-intense and most-fun shooting matches around. The roots of the USPSA go back almost 50 years and feature some absolute legends in the firearms world.
Shooting a USPSA means pushing you and your gear to their limits. The rewards is a fun and exciting day spent on SWFL’s premier competition range and an adrenaline rush like no other.
This class will introduce you to the sport of USPSA and cover topics like:
- USPSA Divisions
- USPSA Classification
- Safety and Range Rules
- Shooting Your First Match
All students will have an opportunity to shoot a USPSA stage to practice what they’ve learned in class.
Gear Requirements
- A 9mm or larger caliber semi-automatic pistol or a .38 caliber revolver.
- A sturdy gun belt
- An Outside The Waistband (OWB) holster for your pistol (No soft-shell holsters or Serpa Holsters)
- At least three magazines for your pistol or four speedloaders for a revolver
- Magazine pouches to store your extra magazines on your person
- 150 rounds of ammunition
- Eye protection, ear protection, sunscreen, bug spray, water
