Two New Classes

Two New Classes

There’s a saying in the movie biz: Sell a ticket to the guy, and you’ve sold a ticket. Sell a ticket to a woman, and you’ve sold two tickets.

Guess what: The same is true of guns. The range where I train is using an all-guy zip code, but the fact is, women are the fastest-growing segment of American gun culture, and have been for some time.

This has been a thing for me, and has been for almost a dozen years now. And so I’m very happy to announce I’m doing another Women-only Basic Pistol class on Sunday, March 1oth. Signup here, and be sure to tell the women in your life about this class.

Secondly, I’ve done more than my share of low-light training, but to be honest, most of it was not applicable to my life as an armed citizen. If the bad guy has enough light to see me and pick me out as a target, I have enough light to see him and recognize him as a threat. Therefore, do I really need gear that’s oriented to absolute pitch black darkness, like night vision gear and the like?

Probably not.

This class is built with the armed citizen in mind, and covers low-light encounters in transition spaces, with gear that the average citizen might have on them. The class will be held on Saturday, March 29th at 7pm. Sign up here, and we’ll see you at the range.
