In the aftermath of the spectacular work done by Jordan Salinas during an active shooter event in Idaho, the question has been raised on social media about how often you practice shooting at over 15 yards.

Well for me, it’s every practice session. My 50 round skill maintenance session starts off with the old Bakersfield PD qual, which has two shots from the holster at 20 yards in 3.5 seconds or less, and then winds up with one headshot from concealment in three seconds or less.

Moreover, accuracy is a cone: If you can get three shots to touch at five yards then twenty five yards should be no problem.
